321 Bypass Beautification Project
Last Friday night violent wind gusts blew trees down causing power outages throughout most of
Fairfield County. In contrast;the morning after, on Satuday,October 25th; a crisp fall day, 42 Keep
Fairfield Beautiful volunteers gathered together to plant 100 crepe Myrtle trees along the 321 Bypass
South. Thanks to the efforts of citizen volunteers,Wal-mart, Bi-Lo, SC DOT, Town of Winnsboro,
Fairfield County Public Works and Recreation departments and Fairfield County Chamber of
Commerce, the first phase of the 321 Bypass beautification project is completed. "Projects that
everyone works together to accomplish, show the UNITY in Community!" Keep Fairfield Beautiful
plans to have another phase of tree planting in the spring. .... Watch the Herald Independent and
